UCL and Ubani collaborate to research Tbilisi’s social and topographical conditions

This project is led by a group of students from University College London, funded by the Laidlaw Foundation, in collaboration with Ubani. It aims to analyse Tbilisi’s urban development and socio-economic conditions from a topographical perspective. By employing data analysis, visualisation techniques, and urban spatial mapping, it will further understanding of how the city's landscape and climate as well as certain social factors have shaped Tbilisi’s urban development.

Taking a quantitative approach, the project will collect and integrate data from various sources. In addition to this, a qualitative understanding of this data will be developed by engaging an interdisciplinary team of experts for interviews and discussions.

This analysis will then be published and demonstrate the connections between the Tbilisi's physical and social landscapes.
