The workshops are linked to the yearly research program. The courses are open for enrollment through an open call, with participants coming from Georgia and international backgrounds. In an innovative educational ecosystem, local tutors collaborate with their international counterparts, forming a dynamic horizontal structure that promotes an equal exchange of knowledge. The course combines lectures and workshops with site visits and field trips that allow students to immerse themselves into the architectural environment of the city.
Methodology
The methodology involves a comprehensive exploration of the city's past, utilizing architectural historical accounts, maps, and archives, as well as establishing a connection with the genius loci through artistic and literary depictions of the city (conceptual inquiry).
Outcomes
Participants translate the ideas developed during workshops into tangible, visually engaging, and artistic forms. Research findings manifest in diverse media, including architectural models, maps, plans, infographics, and schemes, possibly, architectural projects. These outcomes are shared with the public through official presentations and a series of chamber exhibitions.
Tutors
We extend our invitation to tutors and experts who are either based in or have closely studied cities and countries with topography similar to Tbilisi, such as Lisbon, Haifa, Mexico, Switzerland, and Denmark.
Hosting international education programs
We are well-prepared to host or assist in the organization of international educational programs and workshops. We offer the capacity to conduct basic or, if required, in-depth research, provide local support, facilitate communication with local educational institutions (in the case of joint workshops), and offer consultancy and assessment services.
